Grayson - Making a Merry Christmas on Main Street

 

Volunteers with the Grayson Creative Community Group worked together Saturday afternoon to sweep, scrub and decorate along Main Street in downtown Grayson in preparation for the upcoming Hometown Holidays celebration and the annual Christmas Parade, December 3 and 4, 2021.

Grayson - Groundbreaking ceremony for Members Choice Credit Union

 
Board members, staff and family joined the Grayson Chamber of Commerce Tuesday for a groundbreaking ceremony and unveiling of plans for a new Members Choice Credit Union in Grayson.

The 1,400 square-foot facility will include a pair of buildings along with retail space to be taken by a cofee shop, Pour House Coffee.

The new Members Choice Credit Union is expected to be completed "by about this time next year," according to officials.

A New Community Christmas Tree - Lighting Ceremony November 30, 2021

All Creatures Veterinary Care will help kick off Grayson’s Hometown Holidays 2021 with the lighting and dedication of a new community Christmas Tree shortly after sunset on Tuesday, November 30th.

Grayson: 2nd Annual Veterans 5K Race at Kentucky Christian University - by MICHELLE BRAND

The KCU second annual Veterans 5K race took place Saturday November 13, 2021 with temperatures in the thirties, but that didn't stop the dedicated runners.

Becky Walker Retires - "I was blessed to have this job for almost 30 years."


Becky Walker had only been on the job at East Carter High School for six months when tragedy happened.

Carter County PVA & Sheriff's Office Coordinating Community Christmas Effort

 

The Carter County PVA and Carter County Sheriff offices are brightening up the holidays with a food and toy donation drive for local families in need!

Grayson Gallery & Art Center - "Hope & Inclusion" Art Welcome for November Show

 


It's that time of year... let's ALL celebrate the holiday season together via the arts!


The Grayson Gallery & Art Center, Inc. (GGAC) invites artists to submit their original work for a special themed exhibit sponsored by the Mountain Association of Eastern Kentucky (see: https://mtassociation.org/).  The organization will also choose an artist or displayed piece for a commissioned work to be used as their annual online greeting card and a selected artist will be commissioned to create a printed holiday card as well.

Grayson: Rachel's Game Station - Born of Self Study and Hands-On Effort

 

Frustrated by the finances of an education in electronics, Rachel Sidell locked into "self study" to learn the science behind printed circuits  and electronic devices.

Sidell, 25, now operates Rachel's Game Station at 112 West Main Street, inside Two Wolves Metaphysical Store near the Carter County Justice Center.
