All Creatures Veterinary Care will help kick off Grayson’s Hometown Holidays 2021 with the lighting and dedication of a new community Christmas Tree shortly after sunset on Tuesday, November 30th.
The live tree is located at ACVC, 406 E. Main Street in Grayson. Cindy Gibson reported the tree had a 3,500 pound root ball.
The 16-foot tall Norway Spruce (the same type to be on display at Rockefeller Center) was found near Piketon, West Virginia and transported and replanted by Buck Griffey and the team at Evergreen Landscaping.
"It was the largest rootball they ever planted!" Gibson said.

The dedication of the new community Christmas tree commemorates All Creatures Veterinary Care’s 25th Anniversary of caring for area pets and farm animals.
Along with the lighting of the official city Christmas tree staff members of ACVC will provide free hot chocolate and cookies, have ornament making for the kids and “reindeer games” Christmas trivia for prizes!
"In addition to all of the fun activities, appearances will be made by Santa, Buddy the Elf and the Grinch himself!" Gibson said.
"We hope to see you there as we celebrate 25 years of ACVC and the kick off to the holiday season!
All the fun begins at 5:30pm with the tree lighting set for 6pm."
The locally owned veterinary clinic is also collecting items for Project Merry Christmas, with incentives including discounts on services.
