Grayson: Holiday Spirit in Abundance - Christmas Open House at Antique Store November 5-6

You'll find at least a hint of Christmas at nearly every turn inside Grayson's Antiques N Uniques shop, where vendors are now preparing to welcome guests for a Christmas Open House event Friday and Saturday (November 5-.6).

"We will have a few 'Door Busters' - and some cookies and fresh coffee," said owner Kathy Hockley this week as she and several of the shop's vendors added merchandise to shelves and holiday decorations anywhere they found an open space.

Coffee for Friday and Saturday's guests will feature Carter County Post Roast, crafted by Grayson's own Goose Bridle Coffee Roasters.

Providing an excellent source of collectible and otherwise unusual gift items, the longtime local business hopes to welcome many guests. The shop's numerous vendors specialize in a variety of interests ranging from traditional antiques and primitive decor to classic board games and electronic devices as well as historical-interests.

Broken Drum Records, located on the lower level of Antiques N Uniques, will also be open from 10-6 Friday and Saturday, as well as from noon until 6 Sunday. Broken Drum Records offers thousands of vinyl LP records in a variety of musical genres, as well as music-related merchandise and the shopkeeper's own fascinating collection of personal items.
The "Open House" is actually Saturday, November 6, with "Early Bird Specials" Friday, November 5. The store at 602 Carol Malone Boulevard will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days.
