It's that time of year... let's ALL celebrate the holiday season together via the arts!
The Grayson Gallery & Art Center, Inc. (GGAC) invites artists to submit their original work for a special themed exhibit sponsored by the Mountain Association of Eastern Kentucky (see: https://mtassociation.org/). The organization will also choose an artist or displayed piece for a commissioned work to be used as their annual online greeting card and a selected artist will be commissioned to create a printed holiday card as well.
The theme will be "Hope & Inclusion" and art may be delivered to the gallery as follows:
Art (up to three original pieces per artist) may be dropped off on TWO dates: Saturday, November 22 and/or Monday, November 24 from 10am to 2pm at the gallery. Art must be wired for framing and 3D pieces ready to display. The Artist's Name, Title, Medium and Price should be tagged on each piece for identification. An Artist Registration Form is attached and may be completed prior to delivery or on-site. There is NO entry fee; a 20% commission will be deducted from sold works only. Art will remain on display through year end 2021 and artists will be notified about picking up all pieces in-house in January.
A free Opening Reception for artists, the public and our sponsor (donations are always appreciated!) will take place during the monthly Grayson F!nal Fr!days Art Walk event on November 26, 2021 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. In addition, three cash awards of $50.00 each for the GGAC Board Choice, Brandon Click Memorial Award and People's Choice (by popular vote) will be given during the Awards & Announcements portion of the evening (approximately 7:30pm). Live music will be performed throughout the evening by the Huntington Blues Society All-Stars and light refreshments are to be provided,
