Closed today, next Monday between US 60 and KY 1654
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 22, 2021) – The Kentucky Department of Highways will temporarily close part of KY 207 south in Carter County today, and again next week, for drainage pipe replacements.
Beginning about 8 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23, crews will close KY 207 between US 60 and KY 1654 at Norton Branch to replace a pipe under the highway near the 1 mile marker. The road will remain closed until about 4 p.m. to all thru traffic.
Barricades will be placed at US 60 and KY 1654, with only local traffic permitted up to the work site. All thru traffic should detour using US 60 and KY 854 to KY 1654 at Rush.
Then, on Monday, Nov. 29, crews will again close KY 207 from 8 to 4 for a second pipe replacement between US 60 and KY 1654 at Norton Branch. All thru traffic will again be detoured.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
