As of 3 a.m. this morning, Friday, Sept. 27, all lanes of the AA Highway (KY 9) in Carter County at the KY 2-KY 7 intersection near Carter City have reopened.

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (11 AM Sept.
26, 2019) – A
propane tanker truck crash has blocked the AA Highway (KY 9) Grayson spur in Carter County at the KY 2-KY 7 intersection in the Carter City-Kehoe area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, and seek alternate routes for an estimated eight to 12 hours or
until further notice.

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (11 AM Sept. 26, 2019) – A propane tanker truck crash has blocked the AA Highway (KY 9) Grayson spur in Carter County at the KY 2-KY 7 intersection in the Carter City-Kehoe area. “That wood is at least 200 years old. It came from the old barn when grandpa built this barn,” Damron said.

Carl Damron recently provided a quick tour of a barn built by his grandfather and still owned by his brother, Jack Damron.

Health Needs Assessment Shows Substance Abuse Disorder, Cancer, Obesity Among Most Pressing Concerns

Substance abuse disorder, cancer, obesity, poverty and mental health are the most pressing health concerns in the Tri-State region according to the 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) published the assessment on its website (BonSecours.com) after completing the report with community partners and the input of area residents to identify the region’s most pressing issues affecting health.

Carter County First Responder’s Appreciation Picnic on September 21st from 2 to 7 p.m.

Just wanted to let you know that I visited Marvin and Lewis Carroll yesterday evening (Wednesday evening picking on the front porch) and was able to show Marvin the story on the computer.
