The 16th Annual Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl Contest, sponsored by James Family Outfitters in Grayson, was a huge hit with an enthusiastic Friday evening during the 2019 Carter County Fair.
The Carter County Youth Development Program is compromised of Juniors from East & West Carter High School.
Grayson legends won the 6/7U Mt Sterling “Ring Tourney”. The results of each of their games are as follows:
Members of the Carter County Wolfpack and Grayson Legends were among the 11 teams competing in Grayson over the weekend.
10U Grayson Legends, coached by Gary Jordan, Mason Valandingham, and Jamie Roe pick up 2nd place in Grayson Legends Tournament over the weekend.
Grayson hosted baseball players, along with their families and fans from throughout the region this weekend as a total of 21 teams from the tri-state competed.

I got started racing when I was 11 years old. My grandfather Jeff Flaugher purchased a dirt racing go-kart and said, “Let’s see what you can do.”
Looking for some fun youth activities this summer? Look no farther than Carter County 4-H. With a wide range of activities there’s something to spark everyone’s attention. Space is limited for all programs so call the Extension Office at 474-6686 to register and request registration forms. All events will be at the Carter County Extension Office unless otherwise noted.
Chandler Easterling, a 2019 West Carter High School graduate, was recently awarded with the $500 Kentucky 4-H Science, Engineering, & Technology scholarship.
Kentucky 4-H hosted the 95th Annual 4-H Teen Conference from June 10th -13th. This leadership opportunity offered senior level 4-H’ers the chance to continue to grow and better prepare themselves for college or the workforce.
