It began a few years ago with a small group of family and friends with a few fireworks to set off on the 4th of July. It has since grown to be a community-wide gathering with free food, fireworks and festivities, attracting a crowd estimated in the thousands. This year’s celebration will be the biggest ever, according to founder Misael Nunez.
A member of the Tres Hermanos Nunez family offered a hot photographer a cold drink, a bottle of pineapple flavor Jarritos soda from Mexico, during the Grayson restaurant’s Fourth of July celebration.
Crowd estimates for Thursday’s Fourth of July celebration at Tres Hermanos Nunez restaurant ranged from hundreds to thousands, with no way to ever know exactly how many people gathered in Grayson to enjoy a meal, music, fellowship and fireworks provided free of charge by the Nunez family.
