It began a few years ago with a small group of family and friends with a few fireworks to set off on the 4th of July. It has since grown to be a community-wide gathering with free food, fireworks and festivities, attracting a crowd estimated in the thousands. This year’s celebration will be the biggest ever, according to founder Misael Nunez.

8th Grade football players, along with family, friends and supporters, from East Carter Middle School received an official welcome to the East Carter High School athletic family Thursday (October, 10,2019) evening at the Raiders’ home field.

On September 22, feminist artists and change makers met at KFW’s (Kentucky Foundation for Women) Hopscotch House to celebrate the accomplishments and aspirations of our community during KFW Day 2019. This year, we honored Sallie Bingham Award Winner: Elmer Lucille Allenand Firestarters: Red Biddix and Candy Glass.
