Michael K. Phillips, 53 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 12, 2021 at University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Mike was born July 8, 1967 in Ashland, a son of Deanna Smith Phillips of Grayson and the late James E. Phillips. Mike was a broadcaster with WGOH-WUGO, a member of First Church of Christ in Grayson, and bassist with the rock band “Hung Jury”.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cindy Lyons Phillips and one son, Ryan Phillips of Grayson. Mike was blessed to have numerous friends and family over his lifetime.
Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. at First Church of Christ with Donald Damron and Ben James, ministers. Burial will be in the Grayson Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at First Church of Christ, Friday from 6:00 p.m.-9:00p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Serving as pallbearers will be former players he had the privilege of coaching, Micah Adams, Hunter Binion, Jarrod Conley, Matt Waite, Timmy Pope and Braden Hicks.
