The Grayson Gallery & Art Center, Inc., a for social profit organization, will host the one year anniversary celebration for the Holler Down the Holler Poetry Slam presented by Jeremy Wells on August 10 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, during the gallery’s Second Saturday shindig summer series.
Sign-ups open at 6:00 pm and the competition starts at 7:00 pm. A GGAC Performers’ Compilation will be the background & break music throughout the evening.
Light snacks will be provided by Friends of the Gallery. Also in August, regional artists are invited to submit original artwork in any medium, any subject, on August 17 and/or August 19 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
An opening reception for the exhibit will be held during the monthly F!nal Fr!days Art Walk on August 30 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Live music will be by The Return, refreshments from Catering by Laura and artist Maranda Knipp, of Henna Envy Ashland, will offer up temporary henna body-art in a variety of designs and affordable prices as well.
