Tribute for James ''Bobby'' Griffith April 22, 1937 ~ January 2, 2021: Malone Funeral Home

James Robert “Bobby” Griffith, 83, of Webbville, KY went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Bobby was born April 22, 1937, in Elliott County, KY, a son of the late Fred Griffith and Mae Kidd Sparks. He was a member of Upper Bruin Enterprise Baptist Church. Bobby was an avid fan of baseball, especially Cincinnati Reds. He was known for many miles of walking and never accepted rides because he was always in a hurry.


He was preceded in death by three brothers, JC Griffith, Linza Griffith and Cecil Griffith; one niece Patricia Gayle Smith; one nephew Henry David Griffith and June Porter whom he claimed as his brother.

Bobby is survived by one brother; Jim Griffith of Sandy Hook, KY; one sister, Josephine (Carl) White of Boyd County, KY; two sister-in-laws, Loma Griffith, Corine Porter and other members of the Porter family whom he claimed as his own. Bobby also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will mourn his passing.


Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Johnson-Porter Family Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service. Serving as pallbearers will be, JC Griffith, Quayd Griffith, Daniel Griffith, Chauncy Griffith, Bryce Griffith and Ceith Griffith.
