Tonia Sue Noe, 55 of Grayson, KY went to be with her Lord on October 6, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Tonia, a daughter of Gary Erwin and the late Wanda Edmonds Erwin, was born October 19, 1964 in Elgin, IL. She was a journalist graduate of Marshall University and worked as a reporter and photographer for the Grayson Journal Enquirer for nearly fifteen years.
Furthermore, she was a friendly face in the classrooms working as a substitute teacher for the Carter County Board of Education and accomplished dog trainer.
She was a caretaker to all, humans and animals alike, and spent much of her time recuing them in one way or another.
Tonia was preceded in death by her son Justin Sexton, sister, Hope Noe and brother Johnny Noe. She is survived by a grandson, Noah Sexton of Grayson; stepfather, Gary Erwin of Grayson; two brothers, G.C. (Kelli) Erwin and Britt (Vicki) Erwin both of Grayson KY; one uncle, Bill Edmonds of Silsbee, TX; two nephews, Eric Noe of Sevierville TN and Gage Erwin of Grayson KY; five nieces, Cassie (Ryan) Clem of Winchester KY, Megan Porter of Grayson, Abigail Miller of Corydon IN, Carlie Erwin of Grayson and Breanna Elam of Grayson.
Services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Friday. Serving as pallbearers will be her family. Covid-19 protocols, mask and social distancing will be enforced.
