Grayson: "March For Change" Set For Sunday, August 16, 2020

With a goal of creating an opportunity for people to discuss their different concerns and opinions about racial division in America, organizers have announced another demonstration in Grayson, set to begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 16.

Participants in last week's peaceful protest took a different approach as they showed their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, adding hot dogs, hamburgers and even potato salad to the chants and signs. Counter protesters were invited to share a meal beneath the picnic shelter and talk.

Few of those who were opposed took them up on the offer, although organizers said some indicated they would do so during the next demonstration.

A social media post by March For Change states,"We will be marching for Breonna, Elijah, and countless others. Please join us as we raise our voices for those that no longer can and stay for our BBQ and open dialogue! It will be at the park on 301 E Third St, Grayson, Kentucky!"
