Saturday’s parade in Olive Hill, which marked the 50th Anniversary of the Tom T. Hall Homecoming, featured an incredible number of participants.

Horses have been a tradition for many generations for some families in western Carter County, a past proudly reflected in Saturday’s 50th Anniversary celebration honoring native son Tom T. Hall.

Participants in the 2019 Olive Hill “I LOVE” parade lined up early, often seeking shade anywhere they could find it, while stocking their floats and vehicles with cold water, frozen treats, candy and more.

Spectators along the parade route cheered for young and old alike as the 2109 Olive Hill homecoming parade got underway along Tom T. Hall Boulevard.
