James “Bud” Claxon, 78 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Bud was born November 12, 1942 in Ashland, a son of the late Elwood Claxon and Catherine Floyd Claxon. Bud was a blacksmith and taught the art of Blacksmithing at Morehead State University for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Claxon and Robert Claxon. He is survived by his wife, Helen Crum Claxon, a son, Sam Claxon of Grayson and one daughter, Trista (Christopher Rakes) Claxon of Hanover MD; one sister, Helen (Floyd) Gilbert of Oldtown and one brother, David E. Claxon of Grayson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Riffe, minister. Burial will be in the Smith-Claxon Family Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6:00 p.m.-9:00p.m., and after 9:00 a.m. Friday.
