Carolyn Sue Shaffer, 80 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her residence.
She was born July 6, 1940 in Rogers, Arkansas a daughter of the late Carl H. and Ruth Belle Roberts Morriss. Carolyn was a homemaker and served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Shaffer. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob” Shaffer of Grayson; two sons, Mike (Darlene) Shaffer of Grayson and Greg (Donita) Shaffer of Hitchins; one daughter, Robin (Dale) Rodgers of Grayson; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Mike Burnett, minister. Burial will be in the Cribbs Hills Cemetery with full military rites.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Family request that donations be made to Carter County Quilts For Veterans, P.O. Box 395, Grayson, KY 41143.
