Law enforcement officers were again prepared for duty during the latest in a series of protests on behalf of the Black Lives Matter movement, Sunday, August 9, 2020. Armed counter protesters again took stations along Main Street and in nearby parking lots, while apparently unarmed protesters (readers report eyewitness accounts of protesters practicing open carry, although that was not witnessed by Carter County Post) primarily remained at the picnic shelter next to the Grayson Municipal Building.
