Tribute for Beatrice Berry Pinkerton March 8, 1932 ~ June 26, 2020: Malone Funeral Home

Beatrice Berry Pinkerton, 88, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 26, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Beatrice was born March 8, 1932 in Carter County, KY, a daughter of the late James “Jimmy” and Lottie Lucas Berry. 


In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Donald “Pinky” Pinkerton; a son, Larry Donald Pinkerton; two daughters, Nora Oney and Linda Burnett; a brother, Lawrence Berry; two sisters, Ruby Marshall and Verna Mae Gillum.

Beatrice was a member of Meade Station Church of God and put her strong faith above all. Beatrice enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and had a very compassionate love for her extended family. She was a caregiver to so many. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to her loving son-in-law, Larry Workman, for his care and compassion.

Beatrice is survived by three daughters, Kathie (Mike) Donahue of New Port Richey, FL, Patty (Larry) Workman of Ashland, KY and Ruby (Sam) Yates of Willard, KY; one son, Jerry (Lisa) Pinkerton of Kitts Hill, OH; a brother, Dallard (Helen) Berry of West Hamlin, WV; a son-in-law, Charles “Butch” Oney of Ashland; 12 grandchildren, Steve (Ronnie) Donahue, Jodi (Mike) Chaffin, Gary (Michelle) Oney, Ronda Watkins, Shane (Candy) Burnett, David (Janice) Oney, Jesse Workman, Samantha Oney, Bill Yates, Rachel (Eric) Burton, Heather (Zak) Rogers, and Casey (Sarah) Pinkerton; 20 great-grandchildren, Stephen, Jr., Josh, Rich, Alyssa, Joey, Kierra, Dennis, Shayne, Cody, Hunter, Ashtyn, Aydon, Kady, Easton, Colton, Riley, Joey, Gwen, Presley, and James; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Savannah, Finley, Sage and Eric; and a host of extended family and friends who all mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 pm Tuesday June 30, 2020 at Meade Station Church of God with Rob Jordan and Chris Murphy, ministers. Burial will follow in Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday at Malone Funeral Home and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Meade Station Church of God.
