Rigsby & Raines To Play Grayson Gallery: "Old-Timey Brother Style Duets" April 18, 2020

IBMA Award Winner Don Rigsby will pair up with multi-instrumentalist and singer Jayd Raines for a special performance in Grayson April 18, 2020 at the Grayson Gallery & Art Center.

“I like to sing with him, so it’ll be a lot of singing going on,” Rigsby said during a break between his students, who report weekly to study lessons on bluegrass instruments.

“We’ll be doing lots of old-timey brother-style duets,” Rigsby said, noting Raines plays claw hammer banjo and three-finger style guitar, allowing himself more room to play instruments including the fiddle.

Raines, originally from Powell County and now residing in Morehead, has performed extensively with Rigsby and other bands.

Unlike most events at Grayson Gallery & Art Center, tickets will be sold at the door for the Rigsby & Raines concert, which will raise funds to help pay for programs and services at the former fire station which now serves as a locally-operated art gallery and community hub. Advance tickets will not be sold.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., April 18, 2020 with showtime shortly thereafter.
