Conservative Patrick Flannery Announces Run for House District 96 in Carter and Lawrence Counties

OLIVE HILL – Patrick Flannery announced his candidacy for state representative in House District 96 – which includes Carter and Lawrence Counties.

“Our families deserve a state representative who will stand up for our values in Frankfort,” Flannery said.

“My opponent has a record of not supporting legislation to protect the sanctity of life and our Second Amendment rights. I will be a workhorse in Frankfort to fight for our God-given rights, our commonly held values, support President Trump and ensure that the hard-working folks in Carter and Lawrence Counties have a seat at the table.”

Flannery most recently served as deputy executive director of the Office of Administrative Hearings, where he ensured that taxpayers and citizens received a fair shake from the government in administrative hearings as the presiding Hearing Officer.

In 2010, Flannery was elected Carter County Attorney at the age of 29, one of the youngest prosecutors in the state at the time. As county attorney, he was recognized for his efforts to combat drug abuse, as Prosecutor of the Year, and twice as Public Official of the Year by a local addiction recovery organization.

Flannery is proud to come from a family full of current and retired teachers and public school employees.  Flannery and his wife Keri, a teacher at Tygart Creek Elementary School, reside in Olive Hill. They are the proud parents of one daughter, Demi Rose Flannery, and are expecting a second daughter in December 2019.
