Members of The Bitter Fix arrived in Grayson Saturday with hardly anyone knowing their name. At the end of their set, however, the band was immediately booked to return for a F!nal Fr!day Artwalk performance.
With Justin Taylor on guitar, keyboards and vocals, the trio was rounded out by percussionist Tip McNiel and bassist Josh Fyffe. The band hails from eastern Kentucky cities ranging from Hazard to Paintsville. Band members note they normally perform shows with the lead guitarist Brandon Campbell, who was not able to make the journey to Grayson.
Several in the audience were particularly impressed with Fyffe's bass playing, including Holler Down The Holler host Jeremy D. Wells, who said, "Their bass player was really good."
