Hike & Learn - Extension Notes: by Rebecca Konopka

Get your hiking boots ready!   The Carter County Extension Office is partnering with Carter Caves State Resort Park and Grayson Lake (US Army Corp of Engineers Huntington District) to offer a hike and learn program this summer.  Get your daily physical fitness in and learn more about the great outdoors.  Hikes will focus on geology, trees, insects, wildlife and more.

Hikes will occur at 9:00 AM on the second and fourth Thursdays in June and July.   Participants will be exploring Carter Caves in June and Grayson Lake in July.   The hikes are family friendly and are free of charge.  (Additional opportunities may be available for a fee.)   Hikes will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
