More than 1,200 boxes of perishable foods will be distributed to local families on a “first come first served” basis starting at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 16 2021 at the Carter County Fairgrounds near Grayson.
Provided by Farmers For Families and the Rural Animal Owners Alliance, grocery packages will include (but not limited to) items such as meat, milk, cheese, veggies and fruit.
The food is provided at no cost and there are no income requirements. Organizers say they hope to make the grocery giveaway a weekly event.
