"We have had an associate test positive for Corona," Food Fair spokesman Tim Forth said Monday afternoon.
The staff is "deep cleaning from floor to ceiling," and shoppers will again allowed to grab a cart and come inside tomorrow afternoon, Forth said.
While details of the affected employee's identity and situation can't be shared, Forth said it is the first positive Corona result for any of their employees in the region.
"We have almost 900 employees and this our first one to test positive," he said.
Daily temperature checks have been part of the company's daily pandemic protocols, he explained, allowing early response to the situation.
"I can tell you, on their last day at work they started their shift with a temperature of 98 (degrees) and by that evening when they were tested it had gone up to 102 (degrees)," Forth said, adding the local store employees are following all recommended measures.
