Carter County Groups Receive Covid-19 Assistance Grants

Foundation for the Tri-State Community Receives $25,000 from The Humana Foundation to Support Kentucky communities Amidst COVID-19 Health Crisis.
The current COVID-19 health crisis requires both immediate and long-term, sustainable relief in varying degrees across the U.S. This pandemic escalated what were previously already growing health concerns, such as access to care, food insecurity and mental health.

Through a commitment from The Humana Foundation, the Foundation for the Tri-State is honored to announce it received $25,000 dollars to aid pandemic response and help us continue to serve our community. With these funds from the Foundation, we are better positioned to respond to those who need help to recover and rebuild from this crisis.

The Humana Foundation’s gift is part of its historic April 30 announcement to commit $50 million to coronavirus relief and recovery efforts to a select group of organizations supporting essential workers, food security, behavioral health and local communities.

In service of the Foundation for the Tri-State’s mission to support the local community, it would like to announce the following $4,000 mini-grants to serve Boyd and Greenup Counties: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Community Kitchen, Pathways, Salvation Army, and Shelter of Hope.

The Foundation would also like to announce the following $1,000 mini-grants to serve Carter County: Carter County Family Resource Center, Carter County Ambulance, Grayson Emergency Management and Grayson Gallery & Art Center and H.E.L.P.

The Foundation for the Tri-State Community, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) community foundation located in Ashland, KY.
