"It’s been far too long since we’ve fired up the smokers but we’re very excited to let everyone know we are taking orders and curbside for Mother’s Day 11-6!!!" a statement on the local restaurant's social media said Friday.
Mother's Day diners will have their pick from a select limited menu which includes several of The Hogs Troughs' most popular entrees and side dishes. (See menu options below) Telephone orders will be taken starting at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Hogs Trough crew is also preparing to again open their doors and welcome patrons to pick up meals on Thursday, May 14, 2020.
While still finalizing plans to address distances and other considerations for in-house dining, The Hogs Trough team has already decided to bring additional tables to the outdoor dining area known as "The Pig Pen" in the rear of the restaurant after May 22.
The Hogs Trough will initially be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The restaurant's specialty steaks will be served for Mother's Day, and otherwise only between 5 and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
