Bit O' Time Vintage Lake Retreat Revisited

Anyone seeking a one-of-kind place for a small wedding, family reunion or other intimate gatherings will find what they are looking for at Bit O’ Time Vintage Lake Retreat.

“It’s a vacation rental,” explained owner/operator Pam Howard, who designed and built the rural home along with her husband, Jack.

We offer six bedrooms with nine comfy beds and four baths. Lots of space to cook, entertain, and share a bit o’ time making memories with your loved ones! Rate is $400 day/nightly.”

“I designed it and we built it,” Howard said, explaining they lived in the home until Jack was deployed to Afghanistan as part of his military duties. They have since filled the house with fascinating antiques and vintage decorations, and made it a welcoming place for family and friends who want to get away from it all while staying within minutes of the water at Grayson Lake.

Bit O’ Time is a great place for small weddings, reunions, friends/family get-togethers, work retreats, or just a bit o’ time to go back in time! We also offer pre-scheduled Spa services & catering too,” Howard said.

Howard said a young neighbor helped her create the “fairy garden” which greets visitors.

“We just played and created,” she said with a laugh, adding they made a point to incorporate rock from Tygart Creek in the whimsical garden.

Each of the homes many bedrooms has been stocked with modern, new mattresses and the kitchens are stocked with everything needed to host small gatherings including weddings.

The antiques tucked into literally every corner and available display space were personally selected by Howard and her mother.
