Diane Ferguson has learned a thing or two during her years serving brides and grooms, including the fact – “People getting married, they’re going to need everything.”
The longtime owner/operator at Wilma’s Dress Shop in Grayson, as well as the Wilma’s store at the Kyova Mall, is now organizing the annual Grayson Bridal Expo and seeking local businesses that want to connect with people starting their lives together.
While some businesses have more obvious connections to weddings, such as florists and event venues, Ferguson said almost anyone with a service or product to offer will find potential customers at the February 23 show.
“You think of things like hairdressers, photographers and DJs, but they will need Real Estate agents, furniture, new cars, limousines, balloons and shower locations – they need everything, or they will need it as they go along,” she said, before excitedly adding “Cakes! Cakes!”
The annual Bridal Expo at Kyova Mall will feature about 70 local models for a runway fashion show including wedding dresses, bridesmaid gowns, and mother-of-the-bride dresses along with apparel for grooms and groomsmen.
