High water and cold temperatures couldn’t keep new rivals Carter Christian and Raceland ladies’ basketball teams from battling it out on the hardwood Tuesday night, December 17, 2019.
The teams squared off and went back and forth tying the score at almost every basket in the second half.
The referee’s whistle seemed to be blowing every time the players battled for possession under the basket. Free-throws kept the game close and tight.
Unfortunately, they fell short, proving unable to close the deal in the final seconds of the game.
