Holiday Fair Fashion Show: Carter County Homemakers Annual Event (more than 80 photos)

Models from Carter, Boyd and Elliott County provided guests at the 29th Annual Carter County Homemakers Holiday Fair a good look at fashions for all ages and events as they took turns on stage wearing apparel provided by Wilma’s Dress Shop, based in Grayson.

Hundreds of shoppers visited more than 60 vendors at East Carter Middle School Saturday, November 17, 2019 for the 29th Annual Carter County Homemakers Holiday Fair.

“We started out at Carter Caves 29 years ago, but we have done it here at the middle school for the last 19 or 20 years,” Starlene Harris said as the fashion show concluded and the gym returned to a pre-holiday beehive of activity.

Guests also enjoyed the aroma of a traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas meal as it wafted from the cafeteria, where an estimated 75 visitors sat down to enjoy a meal including turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy.
