Motorists driving along I-64 most afternoons will see KCU's men's baseball team practicing on the diamond.
A recent afternoon practice included sunny skies with a brisk cold wind, but didn't seem to affect the team's ability to pitch well and hit the ball high and long into the outfield.
Hearing the crack of the bat hitting the ball brought back memories of summer games of my youth. There's just something about a baseball game that brings warm memories and thoughts of our nation's flag.
Makes me crave buttery popcorn and a hot-dog too!
