Homecoming at the Grove: by MICHELLE BRAND (five photos)

October weather each fall brings homecoming celebrations both at our Carter county high schools and area churches.

Oak Grove Church of Christ annual tradition is to hold a fish fry after church service.  The men set up an outdoor kitchen in the parking lot.

Working like a well-oiled machine dredging fish, okra and chicken in seasoned flour and frying it in peanut oil. While the ladies laid out the pot-luck spread on the tables.  Extra tables and chairs were needed as friends and families lined up.

A great afternoon of fellowship was had by all.
