Local teams crafted chili recipes which were savored by the 2019 Funtoberfest crowd Saturday at Grayson City Park.
The First National Bank crew earned three awards for their spicy chili (one of two versions prepared for this year’s festivities, as well as for the “Best Booth”.
Also offering two types of chili, the Bagby Memorial United Methodist chefs earned high marks and commendations for their chicken recipe, which included three types of peppers and corn. A two-person team from the U.S. Census Bureau also provided traditional chili along with information about the ongoing nationwide project.
