FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Oct. 2, 2019) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has announced that $113,716 in County Road Aid emergency funds has been awarded to Lewis, Carter and Nicholas counties and the City of Lakeview Heights for local road repairs.
– In Carter County, funding of $61,776 is authorized for a bridge repair on Buffalo Creek Road (CR 1517) off KY 2 near Carter City. The bridge over Buffalo Creek will be replaced.
– In Lewis County, funding of $8,040 is authorized for a slip/slide repair on Holbrook Hollow Road (CR 1028) just east of Firebrick-Indian Run Road.
– In Rowan County, the City of Lakeview Heights will receive $15,600 for a drainage structure repair on Circle Drive (CS 2002) near Oakwood Drive.
– In Nicholas County, funding of $28,300 is authorized for two slide repairs on Mexico Road (CR 1009) and another slide repair on Milltown Road (CR 1107).
“The Bevin administration is committed to the Cabinet’s mission of providing a safe, reliable transportation network for all Kentuckians,” said KYTC Secretary Greg Thomas. “These emergency funds will help repair and restore damaged infrastructure throughout these communities.”
The fiscal court in each county and the City of Lakeview Heights is responsible for administering all work.
