West Carter High School FFA members teamed up with the school’s FFA Alumni and other supporters for a first-time “Farm To Table Breakfast” Saturday in Olive Hill.With the goal of establishing a scholarship for future WCHS FFA students, the group provided heaping plates of eggs, bacon, country ham, along with hot biscuits optionally topped with home made apple butter, or local honey from Mabry Farms on Porter Creek, guests gladly exchanged $10 for their breakfast trays.
Officials noted Cafeteria Manager Bonnie Hamilton as a major asset in feeding the morning’s hungry visitors.
