Carter county and Greenup county animal shelters brought cute cuddly kittens, cats, puppies, dogs and even a fluffy bunny to enjoy attention from animal lovers of all ages.
A bright yellow "adopted" tag graced a cage with a blue heeler puppy. Children were begging parents and grandparents to let them take home a new pet.
Big smiles on peoples's faces and wagging tails of the puppies were all signs of a successful afternoon.
