Explaining his role as a fundraiser for the University of Kentucky. Mike Richey Tuesday evening invited members of the Grayson Area Chamber of Commerce to visit the school's campus and facilities as part of a plan to "explore ways we can work together to help Grayson and Olive Hill and Carter County prosper."
Richey said there are currently 47 students from Carter County enrolled at the University of Kentucky. He also cited the importance of Carter County residents as part of UK's history, including a favorite teacher - agricultural scientist Dr. Frank Bush.
"He never forgot his roots here in Carter County," Richey said.
