Sponsored by American Electric Power, the annual Power Wheels Race at the Carter County Fair attracted a small army of small racers Thursday evening.
The first races paired the battery-powered racers two-by-two drag strip style, although the perfectly groom flat, dirt track nearby proved too tempting and the young competitors were given their chance to take a few laps before trophies were presented to each of the evening’s racers.
