With perfect weather to welcome guests, the Carter County Fair continued Tuesday evening with moto-cross racing, offering audiences high-flying jumps and lots of muddy battles for position.
Many families also enjoyed the selection of rides and midway games. Guests also enjoyed a selection of homegrown and crafted items in the exhibition hall with blue, red and white ribbons attached to winners in each of the many agricultural categories.
Fair officials said inaccurate predictions of bad weather, along with showers earlier in the day, likely contributed to relatively low attendance as the fair got underway.
The 2019 Carter County Fair, at the county fairgrounds on U.S. 60 near Grayson city limits, continues today with Kart Racing featured during the evening hours.
