"A teensy few (tickets remain). It seems EVERY ONE wants to come Friday!! (So we cancelled Thursday) It’ll be crowded.... but it’ll be fun!" said organizer Debbie Bajer-Harman. "13 I believe. There’s one guy from Irvine. Everyone else local. A couple from Morehead. One from Grayson. Another grew up in Grayson but lives here now. Angie lives in Elliott Co but is from Olive Hill. Emanuel lives outside Cincinnati but is from Olive Hill. I think everyone else is from here and lives here!!"
Confusing??
Volunteers are also an invaluable asset for On With the Show, she said. "Oh yes! For sound, lights, stage management, setup, decoration, cleaning, making desserts .... etc. " This year's meal also promises to have taste buds singing. "Dinner is BBQ from Pure Pit. We’ll have table service and general help that evening by West Carter Y Club and West Middle Girls Club."
The show will include a few surprises, and possibly an opportunity for the audience to become part of the act. "You Can’t Stop the Beat from Hairspray... and the finale, Conga, might just make you wanna dance," she said.
Doors open at 6 and the show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at Shoppes On The Hill.
